Angles-Angoulême-St Aulaye

320km (approx)
a route, also known as the Via Ecolisma, from Angles-sur-l'Anglin via St Savin, L'Isle-Jourdain and Angoulême to St-Aulaye has been developed by the FFRP and local organisations. A description is in the GR655 topoguide, and the Association des Amis de saint Jacques de Compostelle en Charente produce a guide to the route in their departement by Daniel Bernardin, La Via Ecolisma: Guide Historique. There is a page on this route on the Pays d'Aigre site, and information on the route in Vienne on the Amis des Chemins de Saint Jacques en Vienne site (though the map does not correspond exactly with the waymarked route).
Eventually this route should continue to La Sauve Majeure and the Tours route S of Bordeaux
