Camino Aragonés
Somport-Jaca-Puente la Reina
170km (approx)
Highest point: Somport 1632m
The continuation of the Arles/Toulouse route. See detailed descriptions, for example, on the Federation of Amigos del Camino de Santiago and Mundicamino and Oscense Amigos sites. The old route over the Col de Pau/Puerto del Palo (1942m) to Siresa, which some claim as the original Roman road, is marked on the Spanish side as the GR653-3; though this joins the main route not at Puente la Reina de Jaca, but at Martes further W (see description on peregrinos.wordpress.com).
For connecting routes, see page on Pyrenean passes.
