Camino de Invierno or Camino Sur

From Ponferrada, an alternative lower-level route to the Camino Francés called the Camino Sur or Camino de Invierno is being developed. This leaves the Camino Francés at Ponferrada and runs via Monforte de Lemos and Chantada, joining the Camino Sanabrés near Lalín. The route is currently marked from the Orense/Lugo border onwards.
