E-W routes across Switzerland.
Two routes lead to Einsiedeln: the Schwabenweg from the north, and the Appenzellerweg from the east.
From Einsiedeln there are two routes W across central Switzerland to the GR65 near Geneva: a northern route via Lucerne and Bern, and a southern one via Interlaken. For details of the route, see jakobsweg.ch website. The route is marked with diamond-shaped signs with a shell and 'Jakobsweg'.
