- Via Francigena
- Meanwhile, on another pilgrimage route and European Cultural Itinerary, the first waymarkings on the Via Francigena in France have been carried out in Marne departement. See AVF
- Austria
- A new 1:800,000 overview map of the Austrian long-distance paths was published by Freytag & Berndt; together with the map is an overview booklet describing the routes. Österreichische Weitwanderwege
- Italy
- A new edition of Werner Bätzing’s guide to the Grande Traversata delle Alpi has been published.by Rotpunktverlag of Zurich: in 2 volumes north and south.
- Netherlands/E11
- With the opening of the new section of the Marskramerpad LAW 3-3 from Amersfoort to the coast, the E11 is now complete from the N Sea to E Poland. Because of problems around Schiphol airport, the intended finishing point of Haarlem was changed to The Hague. See the newly revamped site of the Wandelplatform.
